The "Mati" (or evil eye) is a supernatural belief in a curse brought about by a malevolent glare. The belief in the evil eye has existed since prehistory and humans have worn protective amulets to shield themselves from harm. For the Mati Petite charm, we chose a red ruby as it is believed the colour gives protection, strength and courage to the wearer.
